Engaging a personal chef is truly unique experience.  Our personal chef service affords you more time to enjoy your guests, be the host, be present with the worry and stress of meal preparation and presentation.    As your personal chefs, we will take of everything from the menu plan, shopping, staffing, and clean up.  Menus for plated, buffet or family style service are customized to suit your specific requirements. We can assist with event planning, florals, décor, musicians, photographers and rentals and more.

Personal Chef

Chef Roxanne Sweeney of Stillwater Catering provided my family of 4 children and 6 adults with a wonderful dinner experience at our Airbnb in Sebastopol, CA. Planning was easy with her. She blended her ideas and mine creating a wonderful at home meal with no hassle for any of us. Roxanne came and cooked for me and friends over labor day weekend. She was flexible and able to accommodate last minute changes to our plans. Lunch and dinner two days. The food was great. Highly recommend so much so that we have booked her again for next year. 

How much does it cost


The Basics

The cost of hiring a personal chef for your event will vary based on your selected menu and the number of guests you are serving. You can expect to pay anywhere from $50 to $100 or more per person, depending on your menu and where you live. Costs will increase for menus featuring more expensive items, such as premium wild caught fish, organic vegetables and grass fed organic meats and free range organic poultry 

Menu and courses

The number of courses you want to serve your guests affects the price, of course, because the more food the chef must prepare, the higher your cost will be.

Extra staff 


If your party is larger than the chef can easily cook for and serve alone, they may need to bring in a sous chef or additional server at an additional cost. Generally, $50.00 per hour per person with a 4 hour minimum to bring along a server for parties of 14 or more.

Rentals & Tableware

If you do not have enough cutlery, tableware, glassware  tables, chairs, linens,  etc. for your party, your personal chef can assist with rentals

Travel fees

The chef may charge an additional fee for travel beyond a certain distance. Example: Personal Chef Roxanne charges $1 per mile for events more than 25 miles from his/her location.

International Cuisine


Our chefs menus are eclectic and international, and can be adjusted to meet any special dietary requirement.   We feel strongly that knowing where your food comes from is an invaluable part of promoting wellness, not only with your own health, but inside your community as well.  We value the efforts of local food co-ops, family owned groceries, and small organic farms.
